Basketball Training in New Orleans

Basketball is played on one leg more often than two. Our program trains the qualities the game actually rewards - jumping and landing off either leg, sliding without crossing up, and holding your legs into the fourth quarter.

Schedule your assessment

A basketball season is long and the floor is unforgiving. Athletes who only lift, or only play, tend to break down by January. We build a plan that raises vertical power and lateral quickness while protecting ankles, knees and hips against the volume the season puts on them.

The assessment comes first. Jumper's knee, chronic ankle sprains and hip restriction are common in basketball players, and programming around them beats training through them.

What the Basketball program includes

Pain and performance assessment

Ankles, knees and hips get a hard look. We address what hurts before we add load.

Vertical power off one and two legs

Because the game asks for both, and most programs only train one.

Lateral quickness and defensive movement

Slide mechanics, closeouts and the ability to change direction without losing your base.

Deceleration and landing mechanics

The unglamorous work that keeps athletes on the floor.

In-season durability

Programming that adapts to game load instead of ignoring it.

DPtraining Table mentorship

Building champions of life, not just better athletes.

Levels we train

Youth

Ages 7-12

Movement quality, coordination and confidence. We build athletes before we build numbers.

High School

Varsity and JV

Position-specific development, film study and honest guidance on what the next level asks for.

Collegiate

In-season and off-season

Programming that fits around a college calendar and a strength staff you already answer to.

Pro

Professional athletes

Individual preparation, return-to-play work and off-season blocks built around your contract year.

Frequently asked questions

Can I train during the season?

Yes, and you should. In-season work is adjusted around your game and practice load so it supports performance rather than competing with it.

Will this help my vertical?

Vertical jump is trained directly - off both legs and off one - alongside the strength and landing mechanics that let you use it repeatedly and safely.

Do you work with guards and bigs the same way?

No. After the assessment, programming reflects position demands. Guards get more change of direction and repeat sprint work; bigs get more single-leg strength and contact-position work.

What levels do you train?

Youth ages 7-12, high school, collegiate and pro.
